Year 2 – Mary Seacole

Video Conference with the Museum of London

 

On Monday 20th October 2014 the children in Year 2 joined the  Museum of London for a Video Conference about Mary Seacole, a black nurse who helped soldiers in the Crimean War.   An actress pretending to be Mary Seacole told the children her life story.  There was lots of role play and the children had to take part in lots of interactive activities, pretending to be a soldier, a nurse and travelling on a ship.
