Welcome to Highlands Primary School
....a learning community
Our vision at Highlands is to create a learning community where each and every child is at the heart of all that we do and say. We value the individuality of each pupil, acknowledge the worth of all that they bring with them and its impact on the life of the whole school. We understand that nurturing children's personal, social and emotional development has a positive impact on learning. We strive to do the best we can in everything that we do, and we believe that working in close partnership with parents and families will enable our children to achieve their full potential, both academically and as global citizens.
Record Breaking Results for Highlands…!
Following the publication of the KS2 School Performance Tables on 14th December 2017, we are delighted to share the following achievements with you:
We are incredibly proud of the achievements of all of our children at Highlands and the progress that they make academically, socially and morally. The above accomplishments are a testament to the hard work and dedication of staff, year on year high quality teaching and positive attitudes to learning from children and parents. At Highlands we are proud to nurture and develop the children as lifelong learners. We look forward to seeing their future achievements as they move onto secondary education and beyond, where we know their successes will continue.

Kind regards,
Dr Atwal and all the Staff at Highlands
Our learning environment, which is safe, welcoming and stimulating, promotes our vision of children's development into independent, lifelong learners with the skills to succeed in the future - persistence, resilience, effort, positivity and self-awareness. An inclusive school, celebrating diversity and promoting respect for one another, we ensure that each child is valued and has a sense of belonging. We are a Rights Respecting School, putting the UN Convention on the rights of the child at the heart of our planning, policies, practice and ethos, to enable children to develop as global citizens. We firmly believe that the UNCRC reflects the beliefs of our school community.
We hope that our website gives you an insight into our learning community. If you would like to know more about our school, please call the school office to make an appointment to visit us.
