Yesterday, we looked at identify fractions around our home. Talk to your grown up about how you found it. Was there anything you found challenging? If your grown up cannot help you, write down what you found difficult and talk to your teacher about it when they call in the week.
Today we are going to learn how to find equivalent fractions. What does the word equivalent mean? What are equivalents fractions? Can you give an example of one?
½ and 2/4 - is this the same? Draw this fraction in your book and discuss your opinion with an adult at home.

Once you have done this, work through the PowerPoint below on Equivalent Fractions to give you a deeper understanding of the topic. Look at the examples and try to work out the answers. If you’re unsure ask an adult to explain.
