In maths we have been learning how to count in 2s, 5s and 10s from any given number on a 100 square. This has helped us when we were learning how to add and subtract with the use of the  100 square and a number line.

In Maths we are learning about 2D and 3D shapes. We are looking at the properties of theses shapes and further investigating which 2D shapes have a line of symmetry.

This week the children have been looking at regular and irregular 2D and 3D shapes by counting the sides, vertices of each shape. They have also been looking at lines of symmetry in regular and irregular shapes and what makes shapes symmetrical.

What makes shapes symmetrical?
