Typical day
When the children start Nursery they are busy building relationships with new adults and settling into routines of their day.
Once the children are settled we gradually introduce more structure including a key group session, snack time, free play indoors and outdoors and a carpet time.
At Nursery the children learn how to play with different resources and how to follow routines of the day with increasing independence, for example sitting on the carpet for story time or putting their coat on to go outside.
The children are supported to share resources with one another and learn how to play together.
Children who stay all day have lunch at school. They are supported through the daily transitions of saying goodbye to the morning children and hello to the afternoon children.
