Highlands at the BETT Show - January 2015

The BETT Show, Excel Centre, January 2015

We have been busy again promoting the use of Video Conferencing.  We were invited to the BETT Show, Excel Centre (BETT is the world's leading learning technology event), by AVer Information Europe, the manufacturers of our HD Video Conferencing equipment, to give a presentation about the video conferencing work we do at Highlands.

On Wednesday 21st January, Mrs Seagrave, Mrs Qayum and Saheera and Wajahat from Year 6 spent the day at BETT.  We were able to walk around the show and see all the new technology available and then tell people who visited the AVer stand about the latest VC links that had taken place in school. The children were fantastic ambassadors for Highlands.

"The Excel was a great experience I had so much fun representing Highlands.  We did our presentation and had a walk around.  We received lots of cool things like pens, smiley toys, badges and more. It was so fun and if anyone had any opportunity to go there they definitely should."    Shaheera, Year 6

"Last Tuesday when Shaheera and I went to the Excel Centre to talk about Video Conferencing for a company called AVer; this company makes the video conference kit we use at school.  In our free time we went around to see other technology stands and took some free goodies like pens or sweets.  We took a Central line train to Stratford and then the DLR to the Excel Centre  and then the same route back."  Wajahat, Year 6
