Intent At Highlands, we aim to deliver a high-quality music education that engages and inspires pupils to develop a love of music and develop their talents as musicians. Through learning Music, children will increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. As pupils progress, they should develop a critical engagement with music, allowing them to compose, and to listen with discrimination. The effective teaching and learning of the knowledge and skills should stimulate pupil curiosity and enjoyment of Music. We endeavor to take our children on a musical journey around the world and celebrate a diverse range of musical styles, genres and artists. |
