...Welcome to Reception...

Our current topic is 'Growing'

This half term our topic is ‘Growing’. The children will be learning about different types of growth such as animal life cycles and personal growth, as well as plant and food growth too. Some stories we will share include 'The Woolly Bear Caterpillar', 'Oliver's Vegetables' and 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. Each class will be observing their very own caterpillars grow, then they will find out how the caterpillars transform into cocoons before beautiful butterflies emerge. We will also be reflecting on all the learning the children have done this year, before 'growing up' and going to Year One. We will be celebrating all of the children's achievements with an early Years Graduation ceremony in July. The children will also get to enjoy a pool party at school to congratulate them on their brilliant progress!
