Working together as a learning community

We really value the important role that our wider community of parents and carers has in supporting children’s learning and the life of the school and we welcome involvement and feedback from our families at every opportunity.

The active involvement of Highlands' families supports us in ensuring that all children make the best possible progress. As we model the close working partnership of teachers and parents, our children will feel the strength of a true learning community.

We are very fortunate at Highlands that our wider learning community of parents, carers and families are fully supportive of the work of the school and our core values, and are committed to working with us to enhance the learning experiences of our children. We greatly value the links we have with our pupils' families.

Across the school there are many opportunities for family involvement, from attending various workshops, joining our parents' forum to attending parent/teacher consultations.

We hope you will find these pages useful, we will be adding to these over the coming weeks. Please let us know if there is anything in particular you would like to see here.
